I am having a bout of Blank Page Syndrome now as I sit here staring at an empty screen. 😶 How did I get past the ‘Hello World’ stage when I started learning to code? Maybe, I can start with an obligatory “about me” post. That way, you can get to know a little more about the Sony behind “Sony Unplugged”.
What is Sony?
That is my name. And yes, you can pronounce just like that Japanese company name. I was born in India and then royally exported to the UK for my IT brain. Here is an interesting fact: I was born in one God’s Own Country – Kerala, India. And now I live in another God’s Own Country – Yorkshire, England. How cool is that!🤠
I am pursuing a management career in IT. But truth be told, I would rather be designing and creating websites and web applications. 👩🏻💻 Someday I would love to make a full-time career out of my Full Stack Web Developer skills, G❤︎d willing.
I was born in a Christian family and with an insatiable curiosity. So I consider myself an aspiring Christian⛪️ in spite of the myriad of mind-boggling questions I have. So would it be a cliche if I said I was “Spiritual, Not Religious“?
I am a self-proclaimed Globetrotter. ✈️ My bragging rights include my travel to over 30 countries across 6 continents. I also enjoy long drives with my better half, Logan. While he does most of the driving, I enjoy the great music and watch the landscapes float by.
When it comes to leisurely pursuits, crime thrillers and police/legal dramas are my usual pastimes. I can easily lose myself in a whodunnit book or spend an entire weekend binge-watching a crime thriller TV series. 📺 My other pastimes include Philately and Pocket Style Scrapbooking.
This is a shoutout to the 1990s TV show – MTV Unplugged. The word Unplugged has now come to indicate something presented in a more low-key and intimate context. So what better name to represent a blog where I share my unpretentious experiments and experiences in life!
